Schools closed in Rajouri amid Pahalgam terror attack

Under the shadow of a complete shutdown declared across the Kashmir valley by a coalition of various associations and political entities, educational institutions in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir have suspended their operations. As per an official directive issued by the Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Rajouri, all government and privately managed schools within the district will remain shut on Wednesday, April 23rd. This decision to close schools was implemented as a necessary precautionary step, directly responding to the widespread shutdown.

The shutdown itself was a collective expression of solidarity with those who tragically lost their lives in the recent terror attack in Pahalgam and a strong condemnation of the violent act that claimed the lives of innocent tourists. This coordinated action reflects the community's response to the unfortunate incident and the need to ensure the safety and well-being of students during the period of widespread protest and mourning.
