All-party meeting on April 24 following a deadly terror attack in J&K The Union government will be calling an all-party meeting on Thursday in the wake of the terror attack in Pahalgam, Home Minister Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh are speaking to leaders of various parties on the issue.  Several opposition parties, including the Congress, had demanded that the government should convene a meeting of all parties over the issue.Singh is expected to brief leaders of different parties on the brutal terror attack targeting tourists that left at least 26 persons dead. On Wednesday evening, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security in the wake of the biggest terror attack targeting civilians in a long spell of time.

  Trump affirms US support to India post J-K violence US President Donald Trump affirmed his support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the victims of terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam on Tuesday. In a post on Truth Social, he said, "Deeply disturbing news out of Kashmir. The United States stands strong with India against Terrorism. We pray for the souls of those lost, and for the recovery of the injured. Prime Minister Modi, and the incredible people of India, have our full support and deepest sympathies. Our hearts are with you all!"

Omar Abdullah Indigo flight diverted to Jaipur: CM slams Delhi airport for "operational chaos" A Delhi-bound IndiGo flight carrying Jammu and Kashmir (J-K) Chief Minister Omar Abdullah was reportedly diverted to Jaipur on Saturday night, prompting sharp criticism from the CM over what he described as 'operational chaos' at Delhi airport. Abdullah expressed frustration in a post on "X" he wrote "Delhi airport is a bloody shit show (excuse my French but I'm in no mood to be polite). 3 hours in the air after we left Jammu we get diverted to Jaipur & so here I am at 1 in the morning on the steps of the plane getting some fresh air. I've no idea what time we will leave from here." Abdullah also shared a selfie standing on the aircraft's steps after deplaning briefly for fresh air. US strikes Houthi fuel source links in Yemen, 3 killed US airstrikes on Yemen's Ras Isa oil port on Thursday, which resulted in at least 74 fatalities. The Houthis rebels' Health Ministry spokesman, Anees Alasbah, said that the strikes carried out on Thursday also wounded 171 people. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that the strikes were aimed at cutting off the Houthis' fuel and revenue sources, describing the operation as an effort to target the economic power of the Iran-backed group. Meanwhile, Yemen's Houthi rebels have vowed to continue their military operations against Israel and the United States "Yemen will not back down from continuing its support operations for the Palestinian people until the Israeli aggression on Gaza stops and the siege is lifted," the Houthi-controlled armed forces in Yemen said in a statement, as reported by CNN.

  8 committees formed to implement Ayushman Bharat Yojna Delhi government's Department of Health and Family Welfare has formed eight committees for the effective implementation of the scheme. With this Delhi becomes 35th state or union territory to implement this health scheme.  Out of the eight committees formed, the major one is the State Empanelment Committee, along with seven other committees, which are as follows: The State Empanelment Committee will be chaired by the CEO of AB-PMJAY and will oversee hospital registrations, disciplinary actions, and inspections of registered hospitals. The second one is the District Empanelment Committee, which will handle timely hospital registrations, document verification, and field verification. The third one is the District Implementation Committee, which will assist in creating Ayushman cards, conducting awareness campaigns, and resolving grievances of beneficiaries. Marathi compulsory in Maharashtra, "action will be taken for those who oppose," said CM Fadnavis Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis is saying that while everyone in the state has to learn Marathi, picking up extra languages like Hindi is still up to the individual. This comes after the state government made Hindi a must-learn third language in schools, following the new education rules (NEP 2020). Fadnavis told reporters he's surprised by the backlash against Hindi and the growing love for English. He made it clear that messing with Marathi won't fly.
